On 18 May 2011, in the frames of the Norwegian Weeks, the charity project “Aitan lapsi” (Helping Children) was launched that with contributions from the members of NECC and with the additional funds collected through the additional donation button installed to the bottle redemption machines will help to organize theatre-visits for the Estonian children in need.
The project was initiated by Norwegian-Estonian Chamber of Commerce and developed and brought to fruition in close cooperation between NECC, Tschudi Shipping Company, Eesti Pandipakend LLC, Tomra Baltic LLC, DnBNord, Statoil and ASBL Estonian Association of Performing Arts Institutions.
Ms Evelin Ilves, the First Lady of Estonia, embraced the opportunity to be the patron of the project.
